Paredes de Coura · Portugal · August 2026
Our first campaign — Happened on the ground.
We stepped out from behind the screen to meet the people who split trips, camping, meals, rounds, and everything in between.
Shared money, in its purest form.
A festival concentrates everything BananaSplit exists for: friends on a trip, dozens of small payments, and the wish not to let a bill ruin the moment.
That is why we went to Paredes de Coura. Not to set up a perfect stall, but to listen, talk, and test our idea where it has to work — a festival.
This is how it happened.
This campaign was not made with money alone. It was made with heart.

The group is dynamic. So are the bills.
Transport, stays, supermarket runs, meals, and drinks pass through different people. BananaSplit keeps it all in the same group and shows, without drama, who paid and who owes.
- Create the group before the trip and add everyone.
- Create guests for people who do not want to install the app and keep everyone in the bills.
- Log transport, camping, supermarket runs, and rounds as they happen.
- Split each expense only among who took part — not everything has to be even.
- See spending by category and find out if the group spent more on drinks or on a place to sleep.
- Check the balances at the end and make as few transfers as possible.

What did BananaSplit do in Paredes de Coura?
It took a guerrilla campaign to the river and the village, talked with more than 400 people, and showed how the app helps groups split expenses at festivals, on trips, and in other shared moments.
Does BananaSplit help split expenses at a festival?
Yes. You can create a group, log transport, stays, supermarket, meals, and drinks, choose who took part in each payment, and follow the group balances.
How can I join the BananaSplit campaign?
This is not an online campaign. Participation happens in person, with the BananaSplit team, during the Paredes de Coura operation from 9 to 16 August 2026. If you are with us on site, the team helps you open the experience and answer the four questions.
Is BananaSplit part of Festival Paredes de Coura?
No. BananaSplit is not a sponsor, partner, or official representative of Festival Paredes de Coura. This was an independent initiative from our team.
